KPV – 10 mg / 10 mL (Nasal Spray)
CAS Number: 6734-67-6
Molecular Formula: C19H28N6O4
Molecular Weight: ~404.47 g/mol
Synonyms: Lys-Pro-Val, α-MSH(11–13), KPV Tripeptide
Description:
KPV is a tripeptide fragment of α-melanocyte–stimulating hormone, studied for its interactions with inflammatory pathways and melanocortin receptors. Experimental work indicates that KPV modulates cytokine expression, epithelial barrier function, and cellular homeostasis. Intranasal research use allows investigation into its pharmacokinetics, peptide absorption routes, and receptor-level effects in localized and systemic models.
Form: Sterile 0.9% saline solution (nasal spray)
Concentration: 1 mg/mL (1,000 µg/mL)
Approximate Content: ~100 µg KPV per 0.10 mL spray (typical device output*)
Purity: ≥ 99% (HPLC)
Storage: Store refrigerated (2–8 °C). Protect from light. Do not freeze.
Solubility: Soluble in water, saline, and PBS.
Applications:
For research on melanocortin pathways, inflammation modulation, immune signaling, and epithelial biology.
