Description:
Melanotan II (MT-II) is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analog of α-melanocyte–stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It has been widely used in research to investigate melanocortin receptor activation, neuromodulatory signaling, hypothalamic pathway regulation, and peptide-driven behavioral and physiological responses. MT-II interacts primarily with MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, and MC5R receptors, making it a useful tool for studying melanocortin system pharmacology.
Intranasal experimental delivery is employed in controlled research settings to evaluate absorption kinetics, receptor binding, CNS penetration, and downstream biochemical signaling in animal and cellular models.
Form: Sterile 0.9% saline solution (nasal spray)
Concentration: 1 mg/mL (1,000 µg/mL)
Approximate Content: ~100 µg Melanotan II per 0.10 mL spray (typical device output*)

Applications:
For pharmacokinetic, receptor-binding, endocrine, and neurobiological research involving melanocortin pathways, peptide signaling, and α-MSH analog interactions.
