Description:
Selank is a synthetic analog of the endogenous tetrapeptide tuftsin, developed to study neuropeptide regulation of the central nervous system. In preclinical research, it has been shown to modulate GABAergic signaling, stabilize serotonin metabolism, and influence stress-response pathways without sedative or motor-impairing effects.
Experimental use of Selank in intranasal formulations has enabled investigation into its bioavailability, receptor interactions, and behavioral endpoints in animal and cellular models. Its peptide structure and rapid absorption profile make it a key compound in research focused on anxiolytic and cognitive regulatory mechanisms.
