Description:
SS-31 (Elamipretide) is a mitochondria-targeted tetrapeptide engineered to selectively bind cardiolipin within the inner mitochondrial membrane. This interaction stabilizes mitochondrial structure, enhances ATP synthesis efficiency, and reduces the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS).
